Review MWC 2018: Security for Drones, Electric Charging Infrastructures, and Mobile Devices

Infotecs security specialists successfully participated once again in the largest and the most popular mobile communications tradeshow, Mobile World Congress (MWC), in Barcelona. From February, 26 to March, 1, Infotecs Team demonstrated two showcases from the IoT (Internet of Things) area: first, the encrypted transfer of live videos recorded by drones via a mobile data network, and second, the data traffic protection for electric charging infrastructures.

"Our encryption solution for the drone video data transfer has been of great interest to the visitors", commented Josef Waclaw, CEO of Infotecs GmbH. "Thanks to the live end-to-end video data encryption via 4G/LTE, it is impossible for unauthorized persons to view to the video data, publish it on the Internet or manipulate it."

Another application area of the IT security solutions that Infotecs presented at the tradeshow was the protection of the charging infrastructure for electric cars. In this area, customers also benefit from the ViPNet software-defined VPN technology that protects the data exchange of an electric charging station up to the back end, on the one side, and up to the electric vehicle, on the other side.
ViPNet Mobile Security Solution developed by Infotecs, which include the ViPNet Connect secure messenger, attracted great interest of the visitors. The solution offers a secure alternative to popular messenger services to companies and enables the confidential communication with coworkers and secure and direct data exchange all over the world.

MWC 2018 is considered the most important event in the mobile communications around the world.
