Review: Infotecs participation at Security Essen 2018

From September 25 to September 28, 2018, Infotecs presented its products, solutions, and services at Security Essen, the leading international security and fire protection exhibition. The stand of Infotecs team was focused on solutions that assist Special Forces in using drones and protect e-charge infrastructures in e-mobility, as well as protect critical infrastructures against cyber-attacks.

"The topic of the secure video data transfer for drones arouse great interest among the exhibition visitors ", says Josef Waclaw, CEO of Infotecs GmbH. "Drones are increasingly used in various fields where standard exploration methods are difficult to use or where drones can explore the previously inexplorable areas. This requires a secure encrypted data transfer between a drone and its ground station or special forces' mobile end devices to ensure that the data doesn't get into the wrong hands."

Infotecs uses the ViPNet military-grade software-defined security technology to transfer the data in the encrypted form. As ViPNet is based on symmetrical key management and requires no key exchange to establish a connection, cyber criminals cannot listen to or manipulate the data. Thus, ViPNet completely prevents the so-called man-in-the-middle attacks.

Josef Waclaw also gave a speech about Data Security for UAV – Secure Encrypted Video Data Transfer from Drones for Special Forces" on 26.09.2018 at the Security Experts Forum.
