ViPNet Coordinator HW is a security gateway for protecting data transmitted through high-speed communication channels in data centers, LANs of company branches or small remote offices, remote workplaces, terminals. ViPNet Coordinator HW is equipped with a passive cooling system, consumes little power and requires no specific environment or operating conditions. 


Use Cases

ViPNet Coordinator, in combination with other ViPNet Network Security products, implements many data protection options:

  • Secure communication between offices of a company (site-to-site and multi site-to-site).
  • Protected access to corporate network for remote and mobile users.
  • Communication with ViPNet networks of other organizations.
  • Wireless network protection.
  • Data protection transmitted between data centers.
  • Multiservice network protection (including IP telephony and videoconferencing).
  • Differentiated data access in local networks, splitting local networks (for example, creating a DMZ).
  • Secure, controlled user access to the Internet.
  • Controlled user access from a public network to corporate resources and services.

A server in a protected ViPNet network

  • ViPNet network-layer (L3) VPN gateway: protects connections at the network layer (OSI) with encryption and authentication.
  • ViPNet data-link-layer (L2) VPN gateway: protects connections at the data link layer (OSI) with encryption and authentication.
  • IP address server: informing ViPNet hosts about their mutual access parameters.
  • VPN packet router: routing and integrity check of encrypted IP packets sent between private network segments.
  • Traffic masking due to its encapsulation to UDP or TCP.
